The Nike Air Max 1 continues its strong year with new colourways on the lineup. Following the debut of the Air Max 1 ‘86 model during Air Max Day, the ‘87 and Golf versions kept the momentum going. Tinker Hatfield was ahead of his time when he envisioned the Air Max 1. Nike Air technology was already doing wonders, and Tinker wanted to make the patented Air bubble visible. Not only did the AM1 reduce weight, but it also showcased the translucent Air unit in the heel. It became the standard for the following models. Without the Air Max 1, the AM90, 95, and 97 wouldn’t exist.
This colourway features a white mesh base construction with a light-bone suede mudguard. Colourful accents of yellow, pink, blue, and orange compose the patchwork-inspired fabrics on the rear. A multicolour Swoosh on the forefoot also follows the same patchwork pattern. The suede Swoosh on the sides come in green, while the Nike Air branding on the heel features pink tones. Flower themes on the tongue and lace clip add unique details to the shoe. The sockliner flaunts “All petals united.” graphics with the Nike label. A multicoloured waffle sole completes this stunning colourway.
